The WRA Education Foundation awards over $40,000 in scholarships annually based on future plans in foodservice, academic records and recommendations. Funding is provided by the Foundation’s Endowment Fund.

Minimum qualifications for WRA Education Foundation scholarships are:

  • Be a Wisconsin resident.
  • Pursuing post-secondary education in fields related to the restaurant and hospitality industries, such as Culinary, Baking, Hospitality, Food Science and Family and Consumer Science Education.
  • Accepted at a nationally accredited, post-secondary school, enrolled with a minimum of 6 credits for the 2020/21 academic year.
  • Completed application that includes employer or instructor recommendations and school transcripts.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I know if I received a scholarship?

If you are selected for a scholarship, you will be notified by the end of June.

How are scholarship funds disbursed?

Scholarship checks are issued to the school in two semester installments to be applied toward the student’s tuition and expenses.

What if I don’t attend school for the full year?

You will forfeit any unpaid portion of the scholarship if you don’t attend school both semesters.

Is it ok to provide an unofficial transcript?

Yes! Unofficial transcripts that are received by the deadline are acceptable.
